Beardsley has had two spells with Stevenage, two spells with Kidderminster and is set for a third stint with Mansfield
Mansfield Town manager Adam Murray says new signing Chris Beardsley will bring much-needed guile to their attack.
Beardsley, 31, has joined the Stags, external for a third time in his career having left Stevenage following Graham Westley's departure as manager.
"Chris offers something we lacked last year - a bit of knowhow, experience and guile in this league," Murray said.
Mansfield have also signed ex-Leicester and Burton striker Adi Yussuf,, external 23, on a free transfer from Oxford City.
Beardsley came through the youth ranks with the Stags, making his debut in 2002, and rejoined in August 2005. , external
"He knows how a dressing-room should be run. He's worked under Graham Westley and that's a tough camp to be in," added Murray.
