Carlisle United have signed defender Tom Miller on a one-year deal following his decision to leave National League side Lincoln City.

The 24-year-old centre-back made 118 appearances for Lincoln after spells with Norwich, Rangers and Newport.

He joins David Atkinson, Nathan Buddle, Luke Joyce and Jason Kennedy in committing to the Brunton Park club.

"It's a deal we've worked hard to get over the line," head of recruitment Lee Dykes told the club website., external

"He's a player we tried to get a couple of times last season. It's one we feel will have a positive impact, particularly with the type of player and character he is."
