Gavin Reilly has vowed to make his mark in the Scottish Premiership after joining newly promoted Hearts.

The former Queen of the South forward, who signed a three-year deal under freedom of contract, has been "overwhelmed" by the move.

"A club the size of Hearts being interested in me, it's brilliant," the 22-year-old told Hearts TV., external

"[Head coach] Robbie Neilson said he's been impressed by my work-rate, pace and also my goal-scoring record."

Reilly, who scored 15 goals last season, has been told not to expect to play every game in the top flight.

"I'll definitely use competition for places as motivation to spur me on," Reilly added.

"Robbie told me about when you come up to the Premiership there are bigger squads and more rotation and I understand that, but I'm just glad to be given this chance to play in the Premiership for a club [of] this size. Hopefully I can do well."

Queen of the South have agreed a compensation fee with Hearts for the forward.
