John Herron: Blackpool sign Celtic midfielder

John Herron had been with Celtic since the age of seven

Blackpool have signed Celtic midfielder John Herron on a two-year deal.

The 21-year-old progressed through the youth system at the Scottish champions, but after just two outings was told he be would be released this year.

The Scotland U21 international, who made five appearances at Cowdenbeath on loan last season, becomes the fifth new signing for boss Neil McDonald.

"After I spoke to the manager it was the only place I wanted to come," Herron told the club website.
