St Mirren have signed Scott Agnew after the 27-year-old midfielder followed manager Ian Murray from Scottish Championship rivals Dumbarton.
It quickly follows the arrival from the Sons of Mark Spalding, who will again be Murray's assistant.
Agnew, who was at Dumbarton for four years, is delighted to sign a one-year contract with the relegated club.
"I had a few offers from other Championship clubs both full-time and part-time," he told the club website.
"But the possibility of coming to St Mirren with the facilities the club have and to follow my old gaffer to Paisley was one I couldn't refuse."
Agnew started his career as a youth with Rangers before spells with Hamilton Academical, Alloa Athletic, Ayr United and Stranraer.
Murray said: "Scott has the quality to step up to full-time football and do well at St Mirren."
Assistant Spalding had coached at Stenhousemuir, Falkirk, with the Scottish FA and was assistant at Stirling University before joining Murray at Dumbarton last year.
