Southampton have terminated the contract of record signing Dani Osvaldo.
The 29-year-old Italy striker, who joined for £15m from Roma on a four-year contract in October 2013, scored three goals in 14 Premier League games.
He has not played for Saints since being suspended for a training-ground fight with team-mate Jose Fonte in January 2014.
Osvaldo has recently completed a loan spell with Boca Juniors in Argentina.
Italian sides Bologna and Lazio are reported to be interested, external in signing Argentina-born Osvaldo, who has scored four goals in 14 matches for Italy.
He also went on loan to Juventus during his time with Southampton and scored seven goals in 19 games during a spell at Inter Milan.
