Andy Mangan has previously won promotion from the National League with Accrington and Fleetwood
Tranmere Rovers have signed striker Andy Mangan on a one-year deal.
The 28-year-old was available after leaving Shrewsbury, for whom he scored goals against Leicester and Chelsea in last season's League Cup run.
The former Blackpool trainee has also played for Accrington Stanley, Bury, Forest Green, Fleetwood and Wrexham.
"He is a natural goalscorer and a local lad and a good character, so I'm sure he will fit into the squad very well," said boss Gary Brabin,
Mangan was one of several Shrewsbury players offered a new deal at the end of the season following their promotion back to League One.
