Coventry City have made their third summer signing by bringing in Leyton Orient midfielder Romain Vincelot on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old Frenchman's arrival follows the arrival of defenders Chris Stokes and Sam Ricketts.

Former Dagenham and Redbridge, Brighton and Gillingham utility man Vincelot still had a year of his exisitng contract to run at Brisbane Road.

"Romain has always stood out at this level," said City boss Tony Mowbray.

Romain's conquests in England

Romain Vincelot scored five goals in 85 appearances after joining Orient from Brighton in February 2013. He played for Chamois Niortais and Gueugnon in France before moving to Dagenham and Redbridge in 2010, then on to Brighton a year later.

"He was a crucial part of the Leyton Orient side who made the play-offs in 2013-14 season and someone we've looked at in detail over the past weeks. He will add tenacity to our midfield.

"I want a team who are prepared to play football next season, but also compete. For that, you need players who can take the ball in tight areas and play but also have a bit of bite so we're competitive in all areas."
