Exodus Geohaghon: Torquay United to offer defender contract

Torquay United are to offer a contract to defender Exodus Geohaghon after the central defender went on trial at the National League club.
Geohaghon, 30, who is a free agent, played under Gulls boss Paul Cox when he guided Mansfield to the Conference title in 2013.
"He's one I'd like at the football club," Cox told BBC Sport.
But Cox says he does not expect out-of-contract teenager Levi Ives to stay at Plainmoor for the forthcoming season.
Ives, 17. who came up through the club's youth ranks, would command a fee from any club hoping to sign him.
"Speaking to his representatives, as the club has for a number of days now, they see his future away from Torquay which is fine," Cox added.
"Everyone wants to do things at the highest level, we respect that, and we'll make sure that if that happens we'll be compensated accordingly."
Geohaghon played in Torquay's first pre-season friendly earlier this week and impressed his former manager.
"He's not fully match fit, but you can see the presence that he has, the throw that he possesses and the assists you get from that are massive.
"He's one we've spoken to, he's one we'll make an offer to, but it's a case of us cutting our cloth to fit accordingly.
"He's a good lad, he's still hungry at 30 years of age.
"He was hungry to come all the way down here to play in a trial game when some people who were in the same position as him might say 'I'm looking for something permanent before I come on trial' and that I like," Cox added.
So far this summer Torquay have signed defender Dan Butler, striker Tyrone Marsh and right-back James Hurst.
