Chris Maguire: Rotherham United sign ex-Sheffield Wednesday man

Rotherham United have signed ex-Sheffield Wednesday forward Chris Maguire on a one-year contract.

Maguire, 26, scored 18 goals in 79 league games for the Owls but turned down a new deal this summer.

He is the third former Wednesday man to join the Millers this pre-season after defenders Lewis Buxton and Joe Mattock.

"He can play as a striker or a wide position and has great qualities in both departments," Millers boss Steve Evans told the club website.
