Fabien Robert: Swindon sign midfielder after trial

Fabien Robert impressed in Swindon's pre-season game against Aston Villa

Swindon Town have signed midfielder Fabien Robert on a one-year-contract after a successful trial spell at the club.

The 26-year-old left French club Lorient in the summer.

He also had a loan spell at Doncaster in 2012, scoring two goals in 13 games, and has impressed during pre-season at the League One club.

He has also represented France at under-20 level, winning two caps for his country.
