Bradford City have signed former Leyton Orient defender Nathan Clarke on a one-year contract.

The former Huddersfield Town centre-back left the O's last week in order to move closer to his family in the north.

Bantams boss Phil Parkinson confirmed on Saturday that the League One club had spoken to the 31-year-old.

Clarke, whose younger brother Tom had a loan spell with the Bantams in 2008, could make his full debut for the club against Swindon on 8 August.
