MK Dons have signed ex-England defender Matthew Upson on a one-year-deal following his departure from Premier League side Leicester City.
Upson, who has 22 England caps, made six appearances for the Foxes in the top flight and FA Cup last season.
The former Luton, Arsenal, Birmingham, West Ham, Stoke and Brighton centre-back, 36, has played 450 games in all competitions.
"We've got ourselves an experienced defender," boss Karl Robinson said.
He told the club website:, external "[Matt] has played in the World Cup and the Premier League. I think having good leaders around the place is important."
The club begins their first season in the Championship under the MK Dons moniker, having taken on the old Wimbledon set-up in 2004-05.
Robinson has already made seven signings since May, with ex-Charlton striker Simon Church and former Bayern Munich forward Dale Jennings among the new arrivals following promotion.
Upson added: "This is a club that has grown in stature and I see it as an exciting place to be.
"Me and the gaffer have been chatting a lot about the style of football the team play and it's something I feel I'll fit into well."
