Truro City: Boss Steve Tully claims 2-2 Sutton draw 'had everything'

Truro City boss Steve Tully says his side's 2-2 National League South draw at Sutton United "had everything."

Defender Arran Pugh scored a 98th-minute equaliser for the Cornish side to earn them a dramatic point.

The White Tigers trailed twice at Gander Green Lane, in a match which saw seven yellow and two red cards.

"I think the game had everything. It had goals, sending offs and refereeing decisions that weren't right - it was entertaining," Tully told BBC Cornwall.

"What I liked about us the most was the spirit - we never know when we're beaten. We definitely had that trait last season and we're showing signs that we've got it again."

Dan Fitchett put Sutton ahead in the first minute before Shane White levelled for Truro from the spot for the second game running.

Another Fitchett effort put Tully's side on the back foot again, but despite having Isaac Vassell sent off, Pugh squared things up in added time.

"It shows the players that we're capable at this level, and I think that's the biggest thing," added Tully.

"I thought it was going to be one of those nights, but we kept pushing until the end and I'm delighted to get a deserved point."
