Surely not that much of a surprise that Saints, Ipswich and the Foxes are all struggling? They were by far the weakest group ever relegated from the Premier League

    Frank Lampard clapsImage source, PA

Less than a decade ago, Coventry were in League Two and pretty much at rock bottom.

Now they're flying under Frank Lampard and dreaming of a return to the Premier League.

Do you think Lampard can take them up? Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

Coventry City are now four points clear at the top of the Championship while Millwall are up to third place.

Bristol City go fourth and what about Charlton? The Addicks have gone a bit under the radar and are up to fifth place now.

Norwich City drop into the relegation zone after a fourth successive defeat while Sheffield United are upwardly mobile and out of the bottom three.

  5. 'Not a great performance by Stoke'published at 21:59 BST

    FT: Millwall 2-0 Stoke

    Angela Smith
    BBC Radio Stoke

Stoke have got to do something to get goals, I'd be tempted to go with Lamine Cisse up front.

This was awful, they took their chances but this was very disappointing, they flattered to deceive.

This is a shock that brings you back down to earth. It was not a great performance by Stoke City.

  6. 'Millwall players enjoyed that'published at 21:57

    FT: Millwall 2-0 Stoke

    Paul Parker
Ex-QPR and Manchester United defender on BBC Radio London

Millwall have played really well tonight, they should have won by a bigger margin in my opinion.

The expectation for the Leicester game at the weekend will be big now, they fans will expect them to win that now.

They'll be missing Will Smallbone and that will be a blow but go on a bit of a run now and build some confidence.

The players have enjoyed that tonight, they played will a smile on their face. They've won and they've won with a good performance, normally those two don't go together.

    Bristol City 3-1 Southampton

    All over at Ashton Gate.

Adam Armstrong gave Southampton a first-half lead but Anis Mehmeti equalised just three minutes later.

Cameron Archer then missed a superb chance when through on goal before, after the break, Leo Scienza curled a shot onto the bar and Shea Charles headed a corner over from very close range.

But having wasted those chances, Saints were punished as a kind ricochet off the post fell for Scott Twine to give City the lead before he intercepted Casper Jander's pass and streaked away for his second goal.

Only a second home win of the season for City. Mediocrity continues for Saints.

    Hull 2-1 Leicester

Despite Leicester best efforts, they succumb to a loss against Hull City.

The Foxes had 17 shots at goal but only Aaron Ramsey's shot found the back of the net and they fall to eighth in the table.

Meanwhile, to add insult to injury, the Tigers have risen above them to seventh.

Things looking up for the hosts but for the visitors...

  10. 'Derby could have won by more'published at 21:47 BST

    FT: Derby 1-0 Norwich

    Eric Steele
Former Derby and Man Utd goalkeeper on BBC Radio Derby

Sondre Langas was terrific when he came on, it was good substitutions in the end.

Derby were committed and they were totally different in the second half. They grew and grew in the game and could have won by more.

This will be a massive pivotal game in Derby's season.

    Preston 0-1 Birmingham

A non-too eventful night at Deepdale but it's Birmingham who have won their first game in five and second away win of the season.

Phil Neumann's first-half header from Alex Cochrane's free-kick enough to take all three points back down the M6.

Neumann then blocked superbly to keep out Daniel Jebbison's shot after the break.

    Bristol City 3-1 Southampton

Almost a fourth for City as Sinclair Armstrong goes dancing into the penalty area, finds space to shoot from the right and a low effort is kept out at the near post by the left boot of Alex McCarthy.

Do Saints have a late rally in them?

Substitute Jay Robinson forces a low save out of Radek Vítek to hold City's lead.

    Portsmouth 1-2 Coventry

A Brandon Thomas-Asante double gives Coventry a four point lead at the top of the table.

Portsmouth did drag one back with a smart little dink from substitute Makenzie Kirk but despite offering real threat in the closing stages, were unable to do something no one else in the league has done - beat Coventry.

Five league wins in a row. Club history has been made.

What a night for Charlton in the Suffolk rain.

A three-goal salvo in 12 second-half minutes gives them a huge win at Portman Road.

Sonny Carey, Macauley Gillesphey and Miles Leaburn did the damage.

That was after Ipswich had totally dominated the first half with nearly 80% possession.

The Addicks continue to impress on their return to the Championship while Ipswich's inconsistency continues.

    Blackburn 1-3 Sheff Utd

Sheffield United are finding their mojo under Chris Wilder as they come from behind to make it back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Yuki Ohashi had put Rovers ahead and given the Blades had only scored four goals in their previous 10 Championship games it looked a long way back.

But an Axel Henriksson own goal levelled matters before Harrison Burrows and Tyreece Campbell claimed the three points.

Sheffield United are out of the relegation zone.

  18. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:40 BST

    Derby 1-0 Norwich

David Ozoh's goal gives Derby a first home win of the season and increases the pressure on Norwich boss Liam Manning.

Norwich dominated the first period to the extent that Derby were booed off.

But the home side got the vital goal that the Canaries could not find.

Ante Crnac hit the inside of the post for the visitors but they now find themselves in the Championship relegation zone.

  19. 'Stoke just haven't been there'published at 21:39 BST

    Millwall 2-0 Stoke

    Paul Parker
Ex-QPR and Manchester United defender on BBC Radio London

Stoke just haven't been there. As soon as that first goal went in that was it and the second one just killed it.

It's puts massive pressure on them ahead of the weekend.

GOAL: Portsmouth 1-2 Coventrypublished at 21:39 BST

    Makenzie Kirk (90 + 6 mins)

Pompey deny the Sky Blues a sixth consecutive clean sheet.

Substitute Makenzie Kirk sneaks beyond the Coventry defence and dinks it high above keeper Carl Rushworth.

They've been going for it in these closing stages and even if they can't get even, they'll at least make sure they've made their mark.
