League Two side Luton Town have signed free agent midfielder Olly Lee on a short-term deal, with the option to extend based on performance triggers.

The 24-year-old, son of former England and Newcastle midfielder Rob, has been available since his release by Birmingham at the end of last season.

He spent the latter part of 2014-15 on loan at the Hatters' League Two rivals Plymouth, making 15 appearances.

His brother, Elliot, spent part of last season on loan from West Ham.

"Olly's been with us for a few weeks," Luton boss John Still told the club website., external

"He's a good footballer, he did well at West Ham and Birmingham - we know his brother Elliot obviously and the family - he's got a good pedigree. We were looking for a good passer of the ball, and he's that."
