Newport take Brentford midfielder Josh Laurent on loan

Josh Laurent made his senior Brentford debut in the League Cup loss to Oxford United on 11 August 2015

Newport County have signed midfielder Josh Laurent on loan from Brentford.

The 20-year-old arrives on an initial 28-day youth loan and will be eligible to play in Saturday's League Two match against leaders Leyton Orient, subject to international clearance.

Laurent joined the Bees in January 2015 after coming through the academy at Queens Park Rangers.

Although primarily a midfielder, he has featured for Brentford's development squad in the centre of defence.
