Portadown's Darren Murray had a trial at Inverness earlier this week
Inverness are mulling over whether to make an approach for Portadown striker Darren Murray after the player had a trial with the Scottish club this week.
Caley Thistle manager John Hughes said on Thursday that Murray, 23, had "acquitted himself very well" during the trial.
"(He is) a little bit off it because of the fitness and part-time stuff but that's not held him back," said Hughes.
"Darren is still under contract so I don't know if there will be a fee."
Murray, who is also reported to be interesting Millwall, is expected to line out for Portadown in Saturday's Irish Premiership game against Ballinamallard United.
Last week, Murray withdrew a transfer request after he had been linked with a possible move to Portadown's Irish League rivals Cliftonville.
