Kemar Roofe became the third Oxford player to miss a penalty this season as the U's were held by Morecambe at the Kassam Stadium.

Oxford dominated, but could not take their chances, as Roofe's soft effort saw Barry Roche save to his left.

The penalty was given when Roofe was brought down by Shrimps defender Shaun Beeley, who escaped a red card despite appearing to be the last man.

Both sides remain in the play-off positions on 14 points.
