Junior Lewis and head coach Dave Hockaday left Leeds last season having been at the club for only 70 days

Boreham Wood have appointed former Leeds United assistant manager Junior Lewis as their new first-team coach.

The 41-year-old former Leicester midfielder was part of Dave Hockaday's coaching staff at Elland Road at the start of last season.

He joins the National League strugglers following the departure of long-serving player-coach Mario Noto.

Full-time teacher Noto left the Wood as the result of the club taking on an extra day's training.
