Substitute Ross Lafayette scored in injury time as Eastleigh beat National League leaders Forest Green Rovers.

Yemi Odubade put Eastleigh ahead on the rebound after Jonathan Maxted had saved Lee Cook's free-kick.

Aaron O'Connor rounded Ross Flitney for his ninth goal of the season to level and Rovers then went ahead through Elliott Frear's low strike.

Odubade netted his second from Jai Reason's pass and Lafayette stretched to win it with his first touch.

With Cheltenham winning at Bromley, Forest Green's lead at the top of the table is cut to two points.

Eastleigh move up to eighth, two points adrift of the play-offs.

Forest Green Rovers boss Ady Pennock told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:

Pennock on Eastleigh v Forest Green

"I definitely would have taken a 2-2 draw, but the three goals we conceded were not good enough. But it's not the end of the world - we've lost, we've just got to lick our wounds and crack on.

"We did miss them (Darren Jones and Jon Parkin), they're two good players, they're vastly experienced and their form has been exceptional. It's not an excuse - they're a very important part of our team.

"The boys who have come in, I'm not going to blame them. It's a team game, it's a squad, so there's no excuses."
