Ipswich Town winger Ryan Fraser has been ruled out for at least two months with a medial ligament injury.

The 21-year-old has scored four goals in 11 Town appearances since joining on a season-long loan from Bournemouth, and won the Football League's Young Player of the Month award for August.

But he was injured on international duty with Scotland Under-21s.

"He was training on the Friday when he suffered a non-contact injury," physio Matt Byard told the Ipswich website. , external

"You can never be sure about timings with an injury like Ryan's, but I would expect him to be out for at least two months."

Fraser is not the first player contracted to the Cherries to have suffered a knee injury this season, following long-term issues for Tyrone Mings and Max Gradel.
