Nottingham Forest's injury worries have worsened with Michael Mancienne and Kyle Ebecilio ruled out for six weeks.
Versatile defender Mancienne has a knee problem and midfielder Ebecilio has a hamstring injury.
Forest were already without several first-team players including Ben Osborn and Robert Tesche and the long-term injured quartet of Britt Assombalonga, Andy Reid, Chris Cohen and Matt Fryatt.
Manager Dougie Freedman said: "We have an unbelievable injury record."
Forest are also without suspended defensive duo Matt Mills and Eric Lichaj.
"I don't want to make an excuse but facts are facts," the Scot told BBC Radio Nottingham. "We have to juggle things around a little bit and possibly play certain players out of position.
"We need a bit of luck. Unfortunately over the summer we have had some bitter blows but we will continue to work with what we have got. We have to move on."
Meanwhile, Freedman hopes a 28-loan deal can be finalised for Bolton midfielder Liam Trotter in time for Friday's Championship game at Bristol City.
"There are one to two technical things we have to go over," Freedman said. "We are working hard very hard with the admin people at the Football League to get it over the line. It's close.
"He has huge potential. He is a good physical specimen, he has goals in him and he is playing at a level where he can certainly influence things."
