Huddersfield Town have re-signed Aston Villa goalkeeper Jed Steer on loan until 26 December.

Steer, 23, spent two months with the Terriers earlier in the season, keeping two clean sheets in 10 appearances.

Town were short of goalkeeping cover after Joe Murphy injured an ankle at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

"We all feel sorry for Joe Murphy, but it is great that we can get Jed back at the club," head coach David Wagner told the Huddersfield website., external

"Jed came to Spain with the squad at the end of his last loan and learned how I want the team and my goalkeepers to play in the system, so it will be easy for him to come into the side.

"I understand he did very well during his first two months here too, so I'm sure the fans will be happy to see him back."
