Silly from Ibrahima Konate to barge Ollie Watkins and give away a needless free kick.

Hugo Ekitike has been Liverpool's brightest spark this season but has only touched the ball three times in this match.

That's something the Reds will want to change.

There's no sign of the Liverpool fans turning against the Reds manager with a very, very loud chant of 'Arne Slot' beginning in the Kop and quickly gathering pace and noise around Anfield.

A hugely entertaining game this one. Both teams will feel they should be ahead. Villa have hit the woodwork twice but then had a huge let-off after Dominik Szoboszlai's weak finish after he stole the ball from Boubacar Kamara 25 yards out.

Despite not dominating, I believe we're seeing a different side to Liverpool after their rough past seven games - creating chances but not being able to use them effectively. I can see Liverpool top four.

With Amadou Onana off the pitch receiving treatment, the referee should be getting this match going again but Villa are hardly rushing, understandably.

Amadou Onana gets a bit of a shove in the back from Dominik Szoboszlai and collides with the advertising boards.

He's down holding his thigh. Maybe a bit of a dead leg?

Liverpool have to take one of these chances. I think the product of their recent results means Szoboszlai makes sure rather than using then power he has.

Wow. I mean that is end-to-end stuff.

Unbelievable save from Mamardashvili. Villa only need to get past the press once.
