Birmingham City: Boss Gary Rowett 'flattered' by job speculation

Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett is "flattered" by job speculation linking him with the managerial vacancies at Fulham and Queens Park Rangers.
"I'm aware of the speculation," Rowett told BBC WM. "But it's something that we've got to deal with.
"I'm flattered. The clubs I'm linked with are ambitious, who have been in the Premier League recently.
"But I don't think there's been any official approach. That's nothing to do with me. I'm here to do a job."
The highly-rated Rowett has attracted a lot of attention for the job he has done at St Andrew's since coming in following the sacking of Lee Clark 13 months ago.

Gary Rowett's Birmingham City are sixth in the Championship table, seven points shy of the automatic promotion places. Blues were 23rd when he arrived from Burton Albion on 27 October 2014. |
He saved Blues from Championship relegation last season before leading them into the top six this time round, built largely on a fine away record, going into Saturday's trip to second-placed Brighton.
"I'm incredibly focused on the job in hand here," he added. "The club have been brilliant with me.
"I've got funds to spend now and in January," added Rowett, who made two signings, experienced former Premier League players James Vaughan and Greg Halford, before the close of the emergency loan window on Thursday.
"I'm not going to waste too much time thinking about all the speculation until someone tells me otherwise. There is nothing to talk about."
QPR, 15th in the Championship following relegation from the top flight in May, currently have former manager Neil Warnock in charge as interim boss following Chris Ramsey's sacking on 4 November.
Fulham have had former Aston Villa and Blues assistant manager Peter Grant in caretaker charge since sacking Kit Symons on 8 November in the wake of their 5-2 home defeat by City.
