Stourbridge 0-2 Eastleigh

  • Published

Eastleigh made history as they beat fellow non-league side Stourbridge to qualify for the third round of the FA Cup for the first time.

In a game played in very windy conditions it was the hosts who had the best chance of the first half but Karl Hawley fired over when through on goal.

The visitors improved after the break and James Constable's close-range effort gave the Spitfires the lead.

Josh Payne met Ben Strevens' cross to secure his side's place in round three.

Stourbridge had a glimmer of hope late on when they were awarded a penalty but Hawley, who had been fouled by Will Evans, saw his effort saved.
