Connor Smith: AFC Wimbledon sign former Watford midfielder

Connor Smith has yet to score in 27 senior appearances for Watford, Gillingham and Stevenage

AFC Wimbledon have signed midfielder Connor Smith following the termination of his contract at Watford.

The 22-year-old, who left Vicarage Road by mutual consent on Thursday, made 13 appearances for Watford having come through the Hornets' academy.

Smith played four times during a loan spell with fellow League Two side Stevenage earlier this season.

"It's tough to leave Watford, but I will always have good memories of my time there," said Smith.

Wimbledon, eighth in League Two, have not disclosed the length of Smith's contract.
