Great Britain have effectively secured qualification for the 2016 Rio Olympics

Great Britain were beaten 3-1 by Australia in the semi-finals of the World League tournament in Belgium.

David Condon missed an early chance for GB before Blake Govers put Australia in front from a penalty corner.

Nick Catlin equalised but the world champions quickly regained the lead when a defensive mistake allowed Daniel Beale to score.

Jacob Whetton glanced one in for Australia's third and they will now play hosts Belgium in the final.

Great Britain will now play India in the third place play-off on Sunday.

A top-three finish in Belgium would secure a place at next year's Olympics.

But, as India will play in Rio as Asian champions, Team GB have effectively booked their place already., external
