The Belfast Giants confirmed their place in the Challenge Cup final by drawing 3-3 away to the Cardiff Devils on Wednesday night.

The Giants went into the second leg of the semi-final leading 7-1 from the first meeting at the Odyssey Arena.

Mac Faulkner put Cardiff into an early lead in the second leg but Jeffrey Szwez levelled for Belfast.

Matthew Myers scored two for the Devils in the middle period but Szwez and Kevin Saurette replied in the third.

That meant an overall 10-4 win for Belfast who are currently 19 points clear at the top of the Elite League.

It also set a team record of 19 games without defeat in regulation time.

Paul Adey's men will play Sheffield Steelers or Nottingham Panthers in the Challenge Cup final.
