Giants stun Devils in semi-final first leg

Belfast Giants complete a comprehensive 7-1 victory over Cardiff Devils in the first leg of the Challenge Cup semi-final at the Odyssey Arena.

Evan Cheverie and Kevin Saurette gave Belfast a 2-0 lead while Andrew Lord replied for Cardiff before the end of the first period.

Colin Shields and Craig Peacock added two goals each with Dustin Whitecotton also on target for the Belfast side.
