Welsh medal hopeful Jade Jones has received a boost ahead of the taekwondo competition at London 2012.
Jones, 19, was ranked 11 in the world coming into the Olympics but has been seeded fourth in the -57kg category.
The Flintshire fighter, who won a silver medal at the World Championships in 2011, takes on Dragana Gladovic from Serbia at the ExCel Arena on Thursday.
Tseng Li Cheng and world champion Yuzhuo Hou are among the favourites to win the gold medal.
Jones, the 2010 BBC Wales Junior Sportswoman of the Year, will compete in the quarter-finals later the same day if she defeats Gladovic.
The gold medal match is expected to take place at the ExCel Arena from 22:15 BST.
