World Rowing Championships: GB men's eight win gold

Great Britain's men's eight have won gold at the Rowing World Championships in Chungju, South Korea.
It is the first time Britain, who finished ahead of Olympic champions Germany and the United States, have won the event in the competition's history.
GB's men's lightweight four - Chris Bartley, Adam Freeman-Pask, William Fletcher and Jonathan Cleggwon - won bronze.
Britain finished the regatta with two gold and three bronze medals.
Victory in rowing's blue riband event vindicated head coach Jurgen Grobler's gamble to make the eight, rather than the four which won Olympic gold in London, his priority for 2013.
The crew did not win a medal at the last World Cup but Grobler persevered with them for South Korea.
"The last few years we've felt like the bridesmaid but never the bride but today that all changed," said cox Phelan Hill, who was in the boat that finished third at London 2012.
"The key moment was through the 1000m mark - the Germans really attacked us and took a couple of men back but we closed the door on their big move and controlled it from then on."
Dan Ritchie, Tom Ransley, Alex Gregory, Pete Reed, Moe Sbihi, Andy Triggs Hodge, George Nash, Will Satch and Hill recorded a winning time of five minutes 30.35 seconds, with Gemany second in 5:30.89 and the United States third in 5:33.92.
Alan Campbell, a bronze medallist at London 2012, finished fourth in the men's single sculls, as did Frances Houghton and Vicky Meyer-Laker in the women's double sculls.
The women's eight of Melanie Wilson, Caragh Mcmurtry, Louisa Reeve, Beth Rodford, Jessica Eddie, Zoe Lee, Katie Greves, Olivia Carnegie-Brown and Zoe De Toledo also finished fourth.
