"At the moment it's just a newspaper."

Five Titans players are suspended over allegations of supplying or possessing cocaine, and served with court notices. The Queensland's Crime and Corruption Commission said the warrant would be executed on Michaels's return to Australia.

The Black and Whites agreed a deal for the 28-year-old in September, and since then the Australian's former club have been taken over by the NRL amid the current situation.

"It's been tough for Steve. He's been rattled, and we're hoping a ball in his hand will be the best thing for him," Radford told BBC Radio Humberside.

"With it going on on the other side of the world it's tough on his family.

"From my perspective, until I'm told differently he's available for selection.

"Right now all it is is a great article in the Courier Mail.", external
