Jermaine McGillvary now has nine tries in the Super League this season

Huddersfield mounted a second-half comeback to beat Warrington in Danny Brough's 400th appearance.

Daryl Clark crossed from short range to give Warrington the lead, before Jake Connor levelled the scores.

Gareth O'Brien's try and drop goal made it 13-6 at half-time, but Jodie Broughton's score reduced the deficit.

Ben Harrison restored Wolves's seven-point lead, but two Jermaine McGillvary tries, one for Jared Simpson and two drop goals gave Huddersfield the win.

Warrington had taken the lead against the run of play when Clark darted in.

But the hosts levelled when Jared Simpson's cross-field kick was dropped by Stefan Ratchford and Connor took advantage to cross over.

Warrington retook the lead in fortuitous fashion, as O'Brien's kick through ricocheted off Brough's shin and straight back to the half-back, who went over unchallenged for his 100th career touchdown.

The hosts continued to look more likely team to score, but fell seven points behind through O'Brien's drop goal.

Jodie Broughton reacted quickest to collect Brough's kick and score in the left-hand corner, before Jamie Ellis added the conversion.

With Brough and Wolves prop Anthony England shown yellow cards for their part in a brawl following Broughton's try, Ben Harrison scored to restore the visitors' seven-point advantage.

But McGillvary's first try put Huddersfield back in contention and full-back Simpson gave the Giants the lead.

Jamie Ellis kicked two drop goals, before McGillvary crossed again late on to secure the result and lift Huddersfield to fourth in the table.

Huddersfield head coach Paul Anderson:

"It's about time we stood up for ourselves.

"Why he [Danny Brough] got sin-binned I don't know. I think all he did was kick some cones over. Maybe it's because he has a history with referees and when they see him up there they think 'right, you're off'. If that's the case then it's poor.

"It's a historic day for the club. But at half-time I had to get into the players because their movements were not good enough."

Warrington head coach Tony Smith:

"There didn't seem to be a very good spirit between the players. Things boiled over on the pitch. There was a bad vibe about the place and I had some abuse from the stands. That's not what the game is about.

"There were some scenes out there that didn't look good and both teams lost their composure. It's not what we want to see.

"I was proud of our defence. We didn't concede a soft try. We've got nine players out and things aren't easy."
