Salford boosted their chances of retaining a Super League place with a hard-fought 53-34 win over Sheffield.
The hosts led 34-24 at half-time thanks to Josh Griffin's brace and tries from Weller Hauraki, Lama Tasi, Harrison Hansen and Liam Hood.
But Eagles were still in the game thanks to Cory Aston, Quentin Laulu-Togagae, Menzie Yere and Rob Worrincy.
Duane Straughier and Scott Turner went over for Sheffield, but Niall Evalds, Ian Thornley and George Griffin won it.
Josh Dobson also added a drop-goal and eight conversions for the hosts, who move four points clear of fourth-placed Wakefield with just two games left to play.
Sheffield remain in contention to play in the Million Pound Game thanks to Halifax's win over Leigh earlier on Sunday.
