Cornish Pirates sign Welsh winger Darren Daniel

Cornish Pirates have further bolstered their squad by signing winger Darren Daniel from Welsh Principality Premiership side Carmarthen Quins.

The 24-year-old wide-man becomes the Pirates' eighth new signing, external ahead of next season.

Daniel scored 21 tries in 49 during five years with Welsh Magners League side Scarlets before joining Camarthen Quins, external last summer.

Daniel also has age-grade international honours up to Wales Under-21s.

Cornish Pirates boss Chris Stirling said: "As with other signings we have announced, the coaching staff are very excited in getting Darren on board.

"Tipped for senior international honours just a couple or so years ago, he is a quality winger who is still only 24.

"Having proven finishing ability, he will suit our style of play which is so often entertaining for supporters to watch."
