Exeter Chiefs have signed former Brumbies scrum-half Pat Phibbs on a short-term deal.
The 29-year-old was released by the Brumbies in June after six years and 36 games for the Canberra-based side.
With an injury to Haydn Thomas, and Junior Poluleuligaga at the World Cup with Samoa, Exeter lack scrum-halves.
"It has been a bit of a rush these past few weeks because it all happened at once. I'm here now, though, and am looking forward to it," Phibbs said.
"I'm keen to get started as soon as possible.
"It's been a long trip, but now I just want to get out onto the field and show some of my skills.
"Obviously I have a lot of experience from playing Super Rugby, but I know it will be a different style of game over here.
"It's going to be a lot more physical, so I will have to adapt my game to suit the way we want to play."
