Former Wales Under-21 scrum-half Liam Davies has rejoined the Scarlets on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Davies was released by French club Dax in October, and has also played for Brive, the Ospreys and London Welsh.

Injuries to Tavis Knoyle, external (shoulder) and Aled Davies (knee) have left the Scarlets short of scrum-half cover.

Davies adds experience in the position, alongside current Scarlets Gareth Davies and Rhodri Williams.

"It's great to have this opportunity to come back home," said Davies. "

"I've learnt a lot from being involved in rugby in France and it's been a different type of experience and I just jumped at the chance to be back in a Scarlets shirt and playing my rugby at home in Wales."
