David Pocock is one of three changes to the Australia side for Saturday's Test against Wales in Cardiff.

The flanker, who replaces Michael Hooper, has not played since injuring his knee against New Zealand in August.

A calf muscle strain stopped Pocock from facing France and England earlier in November.

Kane Douglas returns from a knee injury in place of Sitaleki Timani and hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau comes in for Stephen Moore.

Lock Timani is unavailable after receiving a one-week suspension for striking Italian prop Andrea Lo Cicero Vaina during the 22-19 win in Rome last weekend.

Nathan Sharpe will captain the side in his 116th and final Test for Australia, who have won their last seven matches against Wales.

Australia team to face Wales: Berrick Barnes, Nick Cummins, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Ben Tapuai, Drew Mitchell, Kurtley Beale, Nick Phipps, Wycliff Palu, David Pocock, Scott Higginbotham, Nathan Sharpe (captain), Kane Douglas, Ben Alexander, Tatafu Polota Nau, Benn Robinson.

Replacements: Stephen Moore, James Slipper, Sekope Kepu, Dave Dennis, Michael Hooper, Brendan McKibbin, Mike Harris, Digby Ioane.
