England beat Wales to finish third

A late try from Sally Tuson gave England Women victory over Wales in the final round of Six Nations matches.

The visitors had seen a 15-5 lead disappear in Aberavon but grabbed victory with three minutes remaining.

England finish the tournament in third place, ahead of Wales in fourth, while Ireland beat Italy 6-3 in Milan to complete the Grand Slam.

Despite the defeat, Wales still qualify for the 2014 Women's World Cup, but Italy and Scotland have yet to do so.

England head coach Gary Street immediately looked ahead to the summer tour to New Zealand in July, when he will once again be given his full choice of players after the Sevens World Cup in Moscow.

"I've got a sketch squad that will go to New Zealand," said Street.

"We've got some very good players now in the mix, finding the best 26 players in the country is a difficult job these days."
