Richard Cockerill: Leicester get more time to appeal against ban
- Published
Leicester Tigers have been granted an extension until Thursday, 18 July to appeal against director of rugby Richard Cockerill's nine-match ban, reports BBC Radio Leicester.
Cockerill was suspended from all matchday coaching activities for his behaviour in last season's Premiership final win over Northampton.
Tigers were angered by the decision and had until Tuesday, 9 July to appeal.
The ban is due to come into effect for the start for the new season.
Tigers have previously said they are unhappy with "elements of the way in which they [the RFU] have conducted this case".
