Wales full-back Liam Williams is set to return from concussion to face Australia in the World Cup Pool A decider at Twickenham on Saturday.

Williams missed Wales' win over Fiji after taking a blow to the head during their victory against England.

Flanker Dan Lydiate and lock Bradley Davies, who was taken off against Fiji, are "a bit battered but OK", according to forwards coach Robin McBryde.

Paul James will return to full training on Tuesday after a calf strain.

The prop was absent for the wins over Fiji and England after he was injured during the opening victory over Uruguay.

England's 33-13 defeat by Australia means Wales have already reached the quarter-finals, with their match against the Wallabies to decide who finishes top of Pool A.

The group winners are likely to face either Scotland or Japan, with South Africa the expected opponents for the runners-up.

Sympathy for Lancaster

England head coach Stuart Lancaster has been criticised after his side became the first World Cup hosts to be eliminated at the pool stage, but McBryde hopes the Rugby Football Union resists wholesale changes.

"It would be wrong to say I feel sorry for them because we're competing in the World Cup and we knew it would be a tough pool to come out of," he said.

"We've deserved it because we have three wins out of three. The one aspect I will feel sorry about is that I imagine they're coming under the heat a bit, press-wise - that's the stuff that isn't justified because it's a fine line.

"Hopefully they won't throw the baby out with the bathwater."

English support for Wales?

With England out, McBryde hopes their fans will support Wales on Saturday.

"I'd like to think so. We're a lot closer than Australia. Both my sisters have got English partners, I've got a brother-in-law from England so it's not too much to ask living so close," he added.

"The Duke of Cambridge - he's an avid supporter and it was good to see him in the changing room after the Fiji game.

"He's going to support Wales and hopefully he can influence his brother to put on a Welsh shirt in one of the games. That would be great to see as well."
