Interview - Olympic swimmer Hannah Miley

Hannah Miley insists there is "more to come" after an impressive outing at the British Olympic trials.

The 22-year-old Garrioch swimmer will compete in the 200m and 400m individual medley in London.

"It's been wonderful. I really enjoyed the trials and there is certainly more to come when the Games come round," Miley told BBC Sport.

"It doesn't stop here. I've got to keep training hard and hopefully perform faster at the Olympics."

In 2008 in Beijing, Miley finished sixth in the 400m individual medley and 11th in the 200m event.

Since then she has won European and Commonwealth titles and last year she finished second in the 400m medley, her specialist event, at the World Championships in Shanghai.

At the trials in London last week, her time of four minutes 32.67 seconds in the longer event was the second fastest ever swum in a textile suit, bettered only by world champion Elizabeth Beisel.

In the 200m, her 2:10.77 would have been good enough for any Olympic title, bar 2008 in the dawn of the turbo-suited era.

Miley is coached by her helicopter pilot father Patrick in a four-lane, 25m pool she shares with the public in Inverurie.

"Each year I'm in a different position," Miley added. "So it's always going to be slightly different.

"We've worked on a couple of things and so far we've worked out what has worked and what hasn't.

"There's lots more to work on and I'm pretty sure my dad can find more things for me to do.

"I might not be able to do that on top of what I'm already doing, I might have to change things around.

"We always start each season with the motto: 'if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got'.

"That's why each season I always do something a bit different. That's what I love about swimming, you can always cross-train with other sports.

"It keeps the fun and enjoyment going and the motivation as well."
