Andy Murray in GB Davis Cup squad with brother Jamie

Britain have reached the Davis Cup quarter-final for the second successive year

Andy Murray, brother Jamie and James Ward have been named in the Great Britain Davis Cup squad for the quarter-final against France.

Captain Leon Smith has selected the same team that defeated the USA 3-2 in March, with doubles specialist Dominic Inglot completing the squad.

The tie will be staged at Queen's Club between 17 and 19 July.

It will feature two singles rubbers on the Friday, doubles on Saturday and reverse singles on Sunday.

World number three Andy Murray, 28, who has reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon, has lost just two of the 23 Davis Cup singles rubbers he has played.

The 28-year-old Ward, who reached the third round at SW19 and will break into the top 100 next week, defeated John Isner in the victory over the USA.

"Andy will spearhead our side, carrying tremendous momentum from the clay-court season on to the grass," said Smith.

"James Ward knows what it's like to create upsets in the Davis Cup and we saw that in his heroic performance against John Isner in March."

Jamie Murray and his partner John Peers defeated the reigning Wimbledon doubles champions Vasek Pospisil and Jack Sock on Monday.

In the USA tie, Jamie Murray and Inglot lost in five sets to Mike and Bob Bryan, the world number one pairing.

Britain are attempting to reach the Davis Cup semi-finals for the first time since 1981.

France, last year's beaten finalists, include Wimbledon quarter-finalists Richard Gasquet and Gilles Simon, plus world number 12 Jo Wilfried-Tsonga.

British number two Aljaz Bedene, who gained UK citizenship in March, is ineligible for the squad because he represented Slovenia in three Davis Cup ties between 2010 and 2012.
