Chelsea have told Manchester United they will have to pay £40m for Spain midfielder Juan Mata, 25, who is keen to leave Stamford Bridge to secure regular first-team football ahead of the summer's World Cup.
Striker Samuel Eto'o, 32, says he will sign for Mallorca when his short-term contract at Chelsea expires at the end of the season.
