Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri is facing a spell out after having groin surgery but the Frenchman is hoping for a quick recovery after tweeting a picture of himself, external from his hospital bed. "Thanks for the support!" he wrote. "Surgery went well! Now time for recovery!"

Not surprisingly, Europe's win in the Ryder Cup has captured interest from plenty of Premier League footballers.
