Manchester United's Spain international goalkeeper David De Gea is in Kiev to play for his country against Ukraine on Monday, at the stadium where Spain won the 2012 European Championships. Following news that Tim Krul will miss the rest of the season with ruptured knee ligaments, his Newcastle team-mate Paul Dummett tweeted: "Sorry to hear the news @TimKrul hopefully we will be playing together again soon."

Swansea boss Garry Monk, one of only two Premier League managers on Twitter, took advantage of the international break with a trip to Chepstow races. He tweeted: "Great hospitality, enjoyed thanks!"
