Jackson leads Ravens to epic comeback
Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson traded touchdown passes all game in Cincinnati, where the Bengals led by 10 points three times in the second half but eventually lost a wild shootout 41-38 in overtime.
Reigning league MVP Jackson answered Burrow's five touchdown passes with four of his own in a titanic struggle that was eventually settled by the kickers as Bengals man Evan McPherson missed a potential winner after a bad snap but Justin Tucker made no mistake to secure the win.
Derrick Henry had been shackled all game until a 51-yard run in overtime set up the game-winning kick that moves the Ravens to 3-2 and leaves the Bengals on 1-4.
Baltimore matched the Detroit Lions from the 1930s with a 38th straight game with 100 rushing yards, while they became the first team to outgain their opponents by 100 rushing yards in five straight games since records began.
Prescott delivers in Dallas late show
One of the longest NFL Sundays actually ended just before 1am in Pittsburgh where the Dallas Cowboys left it late to pinch a huge 20-17 victory over the Steelers.
After a 90-minute delay due to thunderstorms, it was a stormy game for Dak Prescott as he threw two interceptions and lost a fumble against the second-best defence in the league.
But he saved his best for last as he led a 70-yard drive which ended with Prescott finding Jalen Tolbert for the winning touchdown with just 20 seconds left on the clock.
London calling - Williams breaks out as Jags get first win
A blockbuster trade by the Carolina Panthers in 2023 ultimately resulted in them drafting Bryce Young and the Chicago Bears getting Caleb Williams, and receiver DJ Moore.
So it must have really stung as quarterback Williams had the best day of his rookie season to date with a 300-yard game and Moore had two touchdown catches while Young was sat on the Panthers bench.
Chicago's dominant 36-10 victory extended their league-leading eight-game home winning run and was the perfect tune-up for Sunday's trip to London to face the Jaguars.
Jacksonville finally got their first win of the season to celebrate Trevor Lawrence's birthday, and it was another wild one as Cam Little kicked the winner with just 17 seconds left.
We should have expected it really as the Jags always beat the Indianapolis Colts at home - this being their 10th home win in a row over their divisional rivals.
Murray leads Cards, pick record for McKinney
One of the biggest shocks on Sunday came in San Francisco as the 49ers blew a big fourth-quarter lead for the second time this season to lose to 24-23 Kyler Murray's Arizona Cardinals.
Brock Purdy's late interception saw him shut out in the second half for the first time in his career as the 49ers slipped to 2-3. After also losing to the Los Angeles Rams last week, they're in a spot of bother in the NFC West.
Jordan Love threw two TD passes to tight end Tucker Kraft but safety Xavier McKinney grabbed the headlines as he grabbed an interception for the fifth straight game since his summer move to Green Bay.
McKinney helped the Packers beat the Rams to move to 3-2 for the season with his pick setting a new record in the Super Bowl era.
Daniels continues special start
The Washington Commanders are the first team since 1970 to score more than 150 points in their first five games with a rookie quarterback after another Jayden Daniels masterclass.
While Cleveland's $230m man Deshaun Watson was sacked seven times, Daniels was slicing and dicing in a 34-13 success that moved Washington to 4-1 for the season, averaging 31 points a game.
This is now more than just a good start, the Commanders are genuine play-off contenders.
Big plays and last-ditch kicks
Rayshawn Jenkins scored on a 102-yard fumble recovery but it was not enough to stop Seattle experiencing a poor defeat at home by the New York Giants.
The Seahawks let Big Blue run for 175 yards, then handed the Giants the win in the style of the Giants themselves, as a they saw a late field goal not only blocked but returned for a touchdown.
Denver cornerback Pat Surtain also had a huge score with his 100-yard interception return helping the improving Broncos comfortably deal with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Josh Allen became just the second player in NFL history to score more than 175 passing TDs and 50 rushing TDs, but otherwise he had a nightmare as his Buffalo Bills had an agonising late loss in Houston.
Ka'imi Fairbairn booted a huge 59-yarder as time expired to give the Texans a victory they probably deserved as Allen endured the worst passing display of his career, completing just nine of 30 attempts.
The Miami Dolphins managed to win a tough grind of a game against the New England Patriots, in an ugly contest between two teams really floundering on offence.
