Kingussie emphasised their shinty dominance with an 11-1 league annihilation of runners-up contenders Skye one week after completing their Grand Slam of all four senior honours with the Premiership title.
Oban Camanachd boosted their chances of finishing second when they defeated fellow candidates Caberfeidh 2-0, while Kyles edged Lovat 4-3 in a seesawing encounter at Tighnabruich.
And Inveraray kept their prospects of third place in the National Division alive with a 2-1 home win over Glasgow Mid Argyll.
Ruaridh Anderson and Dylan Borthwick led the way for Kingussie with a hat-trick apiece.
Iain Fraser, Roddy Young, Lee Bain, Savio Genini and Rory MacGregor, with a penalty, all scored one each before Archie Millar's late response for Skye.
Scott MacMillan gave Oban Camanachd the edge after just three minutes, but the Argyll side were only able to breathe easily when Ross MacMillan grabbed a second with four minutes left.
Kyles looked to be cruising in their game when Ross Donald and Scott MacDonald both scored in the first quarter hour, but Lovat stormed back with goals from Marc MacLachlan, Lewis Tawse and Greg Matheson, all in a six-minute period before half time.
However, second-half strikes from Will Cowie and James Pringle turned the game back towards Kyles.
Among four clubs within three points of each other, Oban Camanachd, with three games still to play, now look the strongest contenders for the runners-up spot.
At Inveraray, Allan MacDonald struck for the home side, but Calum Morrison immediately equalised before Fraser Watt's winner for Inveraray early in the second half.
Mid Argyll now probably just need a draw in their final game to secure third place in the second tier.
